Hi, I’m Roberto Colmenares, the heart and soul behind Doral Soccer Academy. My love for soccer started at a young age and has grown stronger over time, guiding my career and life in countless ways. Since earning my FYSA certification in 2015, I have had the privilege of working in various roles in the soccer world, from Physical Education teacher in schools to assistant college coach. But it was in 2017 when I decided to materialize my vision and found DSA. It’s not just soccer that I’m passionate about; it’s the lasting impact it can have on kids. I firmly believe in the power of sport to teach life skills beyond the field: teamwork, discipline and, above all, the value of perseverance.

I’ve put my soul into this project, and that is reflected in the passion and quality that each of our coaches brings to the table. I am 40 years old and the father of two wonderful children aged 10 and 4. When I’m not in the field, I enjoy participating in half and full distance triathlons, a passion that fuels my focus on discipline and physical performance. At DSA, each child is more than a number; they are a valued part of our extended community. We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to each student, fostering both their love of the game and their personal growth. And this approach has proven to be effective. VICTOR URBANO

Hello everyone! My name is Victor Urbano, I am 25 years old and I have a passion for soccer that started when I was 12 years old, I am proud to be part of Doral Soccer Academy. Although I play soccer as a hobby, this sport is much more than a pastime, it is a passion that inspires me every day. Being part of this academy means contributing to a place where dedication, effort and love for soccer is breathed. Here, we encourage the development of skills both on and off the field, teaching children not only to master the ball, but also to work as a team and persevere to achieve their goals. At Doral Soccer Academy, we are committed to developing great soccer players and better people. Proud to be part of this team!

OLIVER LOPEZ

My sports career began at the age of 5, when I discovered my passion for sports. Since then, I have dedicated my life to perfecting my skills in disciplines such as soccer, water polo and swimming. I represented Venezuela in the national team for 20 years, achieving important milestones such as champion titles in the Central American Games and runner-up in the South American Games, in addition to participating in prestigious events such as the Pan American Games and the U-20 World Championship. At the national level, I won the championship in the National Games for 12 consecutive years and was recognized with individual awards such as “Best High Performance Athlete” in my state and “Athlete of the Year”. Currently, I continue my preparation as a coach, focused on new challenges and professional goals. At the same time, I have complemented my sports experience with a solid academic background. I hold multiple licenses and certifications, among which stand out: the International Soccer License, obtained after completing 12 university subjects with a focus on the highest level of academic preparation, as well as licenses granted by “U.S. Soccer Learning”. My commitment to continuing education leads me to constantly update my knowledge. Beyond sporting achievements, I consider it a privilege to teach children, not only in the field of sports, but also in essential values for life. Among them, I highlight respect, teamwork, solidarity, sense of belonging, humility, discipline and respect for others. “My coaches and teachers have been fundamental pillars in my development as an athlete and coach.”
